Description
The original VEB Feinmechanische Werkstatten Zella-Mehis/ Thur. mantel clock, a solid oak veneer body, a mechanical, 8-day brass mechanism and spherical glass are the hallmarks of mid-century modern clocks.
A mantel/table clock with a real oak wooden case, an extremely striking dial with Arabic numerals, a spherical glass window with an elaborate brass ring, an eye-catcher.
The original Zella-Mehis chimney clock with mechanical FHS brass movement was made in Germany in the middle of the 20th century. the beautiful form referring to the art deco style has been modernized in a modernist fashion.
The item is preserved in very good condition, fully functional, with the original winding key included in the set. We sign the clock. The defect is a slight discoloration at the bottom of the body.
