This hand painted iron dial comes from a 19th century longcase/grandfather clock.
As you can see there is some overall deterioration to the finish, some pitting and some wear. Overall the decorative paintwork is in quite good order with the portrait in the arch being very well preserved. Vibrant colours, overall crazing. The hands are in good condition.

Fitted with a high quality battery quartz mechanism that is fully guaranteed for twelve months. Requires one AA battery which is supplied with the clock.
