Description
This glass vase was manufactured in Scandinavia during the 1950s. Made of art glass in the Sommerso technique, which in Italian means immersed. This technique involves repeatedly placing a coloured bubble in a transparent crystal. It is a difficult process, but it makes an impression of three-dimensionality and illumination inside the glass mass. This vase has a golden-brown colour and its form refers to the designs of Gunnar Nylund, who was a pioneer of decorative arts in the Mid-Century Modern era and is one of the most important people who was creating ceramic objects in the 20th century.
This vase is in original vintage condition. It has slight scratches visible against the light. Other vases in this series are available in separate offers.
