Description
A beautiful tilting mirror in a carved wood frame, which sits on its own stand, this is a great piece for any place that you might want to check your appearance, such as a hall or even a large dressing table. It is a good size mirror and might work well on a chest in a dressing room. The carving is foliate in design and has an old bronzed painted colour to it. There are some small patches of desilvering, but this adds character to an old mirror and does not obscure the main reflection.
Dating to the 19th century, this is made of wood and mirrored glass, and originates from the UK.
In good age related condition, this has some small patches of desilvering on the mirror and some minor chips to protruding parts of the wood which are not immediately obvious unless you look carefully. The piece stands and tilts well.
