1960s ICO Parisi Rosewood President’s Desk For MIM Roma
£2,500
Description
A large Italian office President’s desk designed by Ico & Luisa Parisi for MIM Italy during the 1960s. The desk is made from Rosewood veneer supported by aluminium detailed corner fittings which support the desk top with steel detachable feet. The legs are made from black-painted steel. The desk is well-made, solid and fully functional. The three clean sliding lockable drawers are suspended on the left unfortunately the key has been mislaid in the past.
The desk has been fully restored and is in very good vintage condition considering its age and functional use. On the corner of each desk a round plastic circle sits at the top of the aluminium legs. One of these is missing on the bottom left as illustrated in the images. The deep Rosewood grain has a wonderful deep patina.
