18th Century Gustavian Painted Commode

An interesting 18th-century compact four-drawer commode. The top drawer contains a feature fall front pull-out writing desk or bureau. Its interior has a lovely well-worn appearance with useful small storage drawers and shelf. A perfect place to work with a laptop or to write.

A very useful and functional piece especially for a room where you are tight on space. The exterior has been hand-scraped to reveal its original paint. The hardware is a later addition. There is a key available to lock the drawers.
