Victorian Pine Dressing Chest of Drawers
An attractive Victorian pine chest of drawers, this has a high gallery back with an attractive carved scroll design on the sides. The gallery was originally designed as a ‘splashback’ for a washing jug and bowl, but remains useful as a retaining upright to stop items from falling down the back when used as a dressing table. It stands on bun feet, with panelled drawer fronts and handles which are ornately shaped in clear glass. With its light pine colour, this will make a great piece of storage for a bedroom with a contemporary interior.
Dating to the 19th century, this is made of pine and originates from England.
In good age related condition, there are some small knot holes in the bases of the drawers. It has the wear expected for a piece which is approximately 150 years old, but continues to be functional and sturdy.
