Nathan Mid Century Teak Coffee Table
This iconic and simple little coffee table would make an elegant addition to any living space. The solid teak table top is in-laid into the frame and sits securely on four solid teak wooden legs. It has a lovely grain and the original varnish is in good condition.
‘B & I Nathan was a furniture maker that followed contemporary taste in the 50s, 60s and 70s. Like G-Plan, Nathan emphasised the value of its brand, trading on an image of quality and craftsmanship. Nathan furniture followed rather than set trends in the 50s and 60s. The company moved slightly more up market at the end of the 60s and produced some innovative designs that inspired a large group of loyal customers to furnish their homes in Nathan’s distinctive style: modern, but with a traditional feel.’
Condition report:
Great vintage condition, this piece has been sympathetically restored and mindful not to erase all history of its previous life, therefore some vintage marks will remain but none that would require a mention in its condition.
