Stunning William IV Rare Coromandel Wood Library Table Made In England
Delivering From: Kent, UK
Description
Produced in England in the mid 19th century this is a extremely rare example produced in Coromandel having solid drawer fronts thick veneers and simulated uprights, the library table has a tooled Hyde leather top that has been revived I don’t believe this to be original but replaced in the 1920’s it has a cigarette burn in the leather adding to its character. Below this it has three drawers it has almost victorian type double pull handle’s making this possibly on the turn between William the IV and Queen Victoria. It has pleasantly shaped uprights and stands on bun feet with inset brass castors. The table is freestanding and looks fantastic from every angle we have restored the table where necessary, it is structurally sound with no evidence of wood worm has been polished where needed and thoroughly waxed.
