Description
This extendable coffee table was made in Denmark during the 1960s. It is made of strong teak wood in a dark shade of brown. The functional table has a shelf and a pull-out drawer with compartments for small items. The other side of the top slides open, due to an additional 39 cm. It is placed on solid, wooden legs, which are distinguished by an interesting form and organic-shaped joining. The table is characterized by high-quality manufacturing precision. The Scandinavian idea of functionalism and a high level of aesthetics perfectly reflect the philosophy of the Mid-Century Modern era. Stylistically, the table refers to the design of Johaness Andersen for CFC Silkeborg from the 1960s. It is possible that it was produced by the master, but the label didn’t stand the test of time.
This table is in original vintage condition. It has minor fading and traces related to age, scrapes. The basic width is 158 cm + 39 one-sided extendable top.
