Antique 20th Century Mahogany Library Table Writing Desk With Leather Top
This is a handsome antique writing desk which dates to the first half of the 20th century.
The desk is a quality piece which is well made from mahogany, mixed woods and veneers, it has a lot of character and a well aged charm which will suit an antique setting.
The desk front is fitted with an arrangement of five drawers which are all finished with brass drop handles set on round back plates. To the back are five dummy drawers. The desk top is inset with a large piece of green leather which is decorated to the edge with decorative gold tooling.
The drawers are lockable but sadly the key has been lost somewhere in time.
The wood has a French polished finish which has dulled over the years.
The desk is in solid structural condition with many small cosmetic marks of age and use.
There are marks to the leather, a ring mark, some dents and various scratches to the wood.
The key is missing.
