1960’s Austinsuite Dressing Table By Frank Guille

A 1960s, free-standing, four drawer low chest of drawers or dressing table with its original horizontal mirror, designed by Frank Guille for Austinsuite. The mirror can be easily removed to create a chest of drawers for a living, dining or bedroom. Featuring striking ‘fin’ style drawer handles, simplistic clean lines and elegantly tapering legs. The large, detachable mirror pivots at an angle and is framed in teak, the frame features the same ‘fin’ style design as the drawer handles and would make a very attractive full length mirror if separated from the chest of drawers. The teak has a beautiful golden vintage patina and is in excellent vintage condition. Perfect for a small flat where space is at a premium.

This gorgeous piece of furniture is strongly influenced by Danish design, with Frank Guille studying at the School of Furniture at the Danish Academy, under the acclaimed architect and designer, Kaare Klint – a forefather of Danish Modernism. It is constructed using teak and teak veneer, giving it a warm and elegant appearance.

In very good vintage condition, please expect the odd scratch or bruise as one should with a piece of furniture with a history but nothing that deters from its stylish aesthetics. The mirror has a small amount of minor hazing in a couple of places (when scrutinised closely)
