Kalmar Two Tier Iced Glass Chandelier, 1970s
Delivering from: London, United Kingdom (UK)
A striking and rather dramatic, two-tier, iced glass, chandelier which was manufactured by Kalmar Lighting in Austria in the 1970s from the SORIA range of lights. Designed by J.T Kalmar. Each piece of removable glass is secured onto the nickel-plated brass chromed metal frame with a small screw at the top which allows it to hang freely and also makes it fairly easy to clean and transport. The glass is positioned on each row at two different staggered heights around the frame allowing the light to shine through the glass evenly and beautifully.
Eight small E14 pygmy screw in bulbs sit within the frame with a single one below. The ceiling rod can be adjusted to your height requirements but will need to be replaced if you require it to be longer. The original makers label is visible on the frame.
In very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks to the glass blocks. There is some discolouration to the frame but this isn’t noticeable through the iced-glass blocks. Rewired by a qualified electrician and in full working order.
