A superb very large black wire lampshade dating to the mid 20th century.
The shade was originally designed for use with a standard lamp but could be adapted to be used as a ceiling light. The shade is very heavy and solid and I think it could also be used as a footstool.
It is woven like a basket and has an evocative architectural look.
