Description
The ice-glass wall lamp was produced in Austria in the 1960s for the factory of Julius Theodor Kalmar. It is made of metal with a diffuser made of pressed crystal glass. The electrical installation is operational and works with two E14 bulbs up to 60W. The lamp can hang both vertically and horizontally. An interesting fact is the preserved sticker with the data of the company that installed the lamp in an apartment in Vienna.
The Kalmar company was founded in the 19th century, originally producing candlesticks and bronze products. In 1913, Julius Kalmar took over the manufactory from his father, successfully completed the electrification process and established the factory. Currently, the most famous objects where Kalmar products can be found are: Burj Khalifa in Dubai, Moscow Kremlin and Queen Marry II.
