An early 1950s version of this iconic armchair known as “The Chair” which was designed by the renowned architect and furniture designer Hans J. Wegner for Johannes Hansen in 1949. Made in Denmark. Model JH 503. This Oak armchair has a wonderful aged patina to the grain and features a dark brown almost black leather seat.
The makers stamp is underneath the seat – Johannes Hansen Copenhagen Denmark. In very good vintage condition
