Description
This rare office armchair was designed by the Danish designer Georg Thams during the 1960s. It is upholstered in black natural leather. It has three loosely placed pillows. The armchair is spacious and comfortable, and the wide armrests additionally affect comfort while using it. The base is a swivel, five-pointed metal leg. Sharp edges perfectly harmonize with the expressive form of the furniture, and its elegant line will emphasize the minimalist character of the interior.
Georg Thams is a leading Danish furniture maker. He specialized in angular designs mainly of sofas and armchairs. All his designs are characterized by sharp edges and clear shapes. They were produced by many Danish producers, e.g. Vejen Møbelfabrik and attract interest at many auctions to this day.
The armchair is in original vintage condition. It has minor traces of use, scratches, scrapes, chaps and a natural patina. The seat is at a height of 44 cm.
