Vintage Mid-Century Scandinavian Danish Modern High Back Teak Armchair, 1960s
£1,345
Description
This tall modernist armchair was made in Denmark in the 1960s. The frame is made of dark brown teak. The high backrest is slightly inclined and the armrests have a streamlined shape. The seat is wide and comfortable. All this affects the comfort during use. The armchair is upholstered in black naugahyde vinyl material. It is a very durable material, the world’s first rubber-based material, invented in the American factory Naugatuck in 1914. The backrest is decorated with elegant quilting. The armchair has an interesting form and will be perfectly matching in many arrangements.
This piece is in original vintage condition. It has minor traces of age, two buttons are missing, a slight scratch on the upholstery. The seat is at a height of 36 cm.
