The proportions perfectly harmonize with each other, which affects the comfort during use.
Erik Buch is a designer born in Copenhagen. His furniture is characterized by an organic and functional aesthetic. The first success was the Model 49 chair from 1949. It features a curved, floating seat and classic Scandinavian design. Probably his most famous piece is the Model 61 bar stool from 1961, which has a typically Scandinavian base with organically carved lines. Many of Buch’s projects are named after the year in which they were created. Other Buch designs include the Captain’s Chair (1955) for Ørum Møbler, the Model 310 dining chair for Chr. Christiansen, and a T-shaped bar stool for Dyrlund.
The chair is in original vintage condition. It has minor traces of use, scratches on the wood, scrapes. The seat is at a height of 43 cm.
