Description
The Weissenhof chair (also called MR10 and MR20) was designed in 1927 by architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (1886-1969) and designer Lilly Reich (1885-1947), with the collaboration of Sergius Rügenberg.
The chair is inspired by previous creations, such as the cantilever chair, created by Mart Stam.
The peculiarity of this chair is its curved structure.
In the choice of materials Ludwig Mies van der Rohe opted for a precious leather upholstery and the use of metal tubing. Original object dating back to the early 60s.
In excellent condition, as shown in the photo, the leather shows signs of aging which gives it an amazing patina, the internal paper worn by time and restored.
