Delightful pair of still lifes, arrangement of Roses, Fuchsias, Lillie’s, and Devil’s Trumpet.
Painted on Tin in circa the 1750s Possibly German School.
This delightful pair of 18th century still lifes our housed in their original carved gilt wood, the lovely carving of vine leaves and grapes possibly French provincial.
If you are looking for a still life that is a little bit different and unusual, this may be perfect for you.
These paintings were found in a large country in House, Sussex, and have not seen the light of day for about 70 years.
The paintings and Frame are only very light and clean.
Condition
Some chips to the paint. Some paint loss and older over paint.
The frame had numerous repairs but still, looks good.
