Description
George Jones Majolica Shell Dish. A rare dish from the great George Jones. This majolica dish is in the form of a shell. The handle has been brilliantly sculpted to resemble coral bordered by some green bladderack and attaching to a shell overlay. The glaze of the bowl is a vibrant turquoise colour evoking blue ocean waters. The underside is glazed in the traditional majolica colours of green, brown and yellow. The George Jones double Gord stamp can be found to the base.
