Description
A lovely 19th century glazed bookcase, this is an elegant size and ideal for a smaller room or office. The top section can be detached from the cupboard base for ease of removal and has three shelves which are adjustable on a peg system. Sitting on a plinth base, the cupboard has panelled doors and a fixed shelf. There are good quality brass fittings throughout, the locks being from an Edinburgh maker and the small brass escutcheons being inlaid. A beautiful piece for any space.
Dating to the 19th century, this is made of mahogany and originates from the UK.
In good age related condition, this has a nice finish and minimal use related wear. There is some minor sun bleaching on the right side, which is not unattractive and adds to the character of the antique. The key is available.
