Attractive late Georgian mahogany marquetry inlaid wall hanging cutlery box, the tapering shape is an indication that these were made for knives, the blades tapering down from the broader handles would be placed into the bottom of the box.
Now a useful addition to any home as store for a range of items from kitchen utensils to dog leads.
This one is particularly eye catching, decorated with flower shapes on all sides and a deep red colour to the wood.
Dating to the early 19th century, this is made of mixed wood and originates from England.
