A stunning piece of vintage and mid-century furniture in a four drawer teak chest by G Plan furniture. The chest consists of four hand crafted drawers with each one having superb double dovetail jointing and offering excellent storage, to each of the drawer fronts there is a single large teak handle sculptured within the drawer front while to the base the cabinet sit’s on a plinth base. The chest of drawers has been hand crafted by G Plan furniture and has the red G Plan logo within the top drawer, the cabinet comes from their Fresco range released in 1966 and designed by Victor Bramwell Wilkins. The cabinet is a stunning and genuine piece of vintage and mid century furniture that looks amazing with a wonderful look and styling that would suit any home or environment

Condition The chest is in superb condition made of solid wood with a teak wood veneer. The chest has been hand sanded to the original wood then waxed and French polished.

My names Mark and after some twenty plus years working within retail management I wanted to work a job that gave me a sense of achievement and accomplishment. Ive always had an interest and passion for furniture and wanted to gain more knowledge this teamed with my creative eccentric side led me to create Tallboy Furniture. I love all forms of furniture from vintage to retro to mid century modern, and find nothing better than spending my days restoring pieces of furniture that people have forgotten about and giving them the tender loving care to bring them back to there former glory. I love the story that a cabinet can tell and wonder if they could only talk the stories and adventures some pieces must of been on. The pieces I have listed all have time and care and love put into them and all of my listings are perfect and never leave my workshop unless otherwise. I pride myself on my quality of work and find nothing more satisfying than placing one of my pieces in a new home where its treasured and adored to take pride and place and to be used for it’s intended purpose.
My furniture has been chosen to appear in the World of Interior magazine and has also been featured on the series of 60 Minute Makeover, with the designer Linda Barker hand choosing a stunning vintage chest of drawers to appear in the show and be the centre piece of her design. It’s an amazing achievement to now be recognised as an official supplier to 60 Minute Makeover.
