Antique Fine 19th Century Rosewood Display Cabinet With Velvet Interior
This is a handsome antique glazed cabinet which dates to the 19th century.
The cabinet is made of beautifully figured rosewood and is a superb quality antique piece which is ideal for display, and perfect for storing decorative items or books.
Its classic lines and elegant style make it a good statement piece for any home.
The cabinet is fitted with double glazed doors to the front which are flanked by fluted turned pillars. The doors open to reveal fixed shelves which are covered in their original velvet, this has faded over time. The top of the cabinet is decorated with small carved Tudor roses and the base of the cabinet is set on short turned feet.
The wood has a French Polished finish.
The cabinet is in very good structural condition.
There are small cosmetic marks here and there, the top has some small scratches to the polished finish and in front of the right hand door, there is a small dent to the wood. The left hand side panel has faded slightly in the sun and the velvet lined interior has faded and has various ring marks.
The keys shown are purely ornamental and will be included in the sale, sadly we do not have the original keys.
