Description
1960s mid century Danish Rosewood oval pedestal drum cabinet designed by Johannes Sorth for Bornholm Møbelfabrik. The almost semi-circular cabinet is designed with a flat back to enable it to be set back flush against a wall. The top and base sections are designed to look similar in style. The cabinet has a wonderful curved door with brass detail which when opened reveals the five adjustable shelves inside plus the base shelf. The cabinet is perfect for storage for chinaware or as a drinks cabinet for glasses, serve ware and bottles of alcohol. The back has the original maker’s label for Bornholm Møbelfabrik present.
In very good condition having been recently restored. There are some barely visible repairs to the front barrelled door which can only be seen in certain lights. The cabinet’s key is unfortunately missing.
