Vintage Brevettato Gamar, 1970’s Italian, Dining Table And Chairs

Description
A heavy, Postmodern style, late 70’s, Italian Dining Table with chunky, cylindrical legs by Brevettato. We are selling this as a set with 4 matching dining chairs that have been reupholstered in a flame retardant cream leatherette.
The chairs are also chunky and curvaceous in their form with striking cylindrical legs, a gently curved low back rest and comfortably wide and deep seats. No makers mark to the chairs but the assumption is that they are also by Brevettato. The influence of Rainer Daumiller on the shape and form is apparent and lends them their striking designer aesthetic. As a dining set they will look particularly fabulous in a contemporary, Scandinavian style or mid century style of interior.
The chairs are sturdy (no wobbles) and have been freshly upholstered with a fire retardant leatherette. There are some bumps and scratches to the wood, commensurate with age and love, but nothing too obvious or aesthetically unpleasing. The table is in good vintage condition with just the odd scratch or bruise commensurate with age. It should be noted that the table top, at 6cm thick, is extremely heavy being of beech veneer on dense chipboard. Please check the images for an honest representation of the condition.
