1950s Italian Sixteen-Arm Brass “Firework” Chandelier
£650
Description
A 1950s, Italian, sixteen-arm, sputnik, “firework” spider brass-framed chandelier. In the style of Stilnovo. A magnificent and striking light with brass extending arms leading from an upturned conical white enamelled central support. The brass arms are fixed in place into the flat brass section above the cone. At the end of each polished brass arm, a mauve coloured enamel bulb socket cover is fitted which the bulb sits inside. I would recommend candle bulbs perhaps pearled or with an interesting filament for additional focus and interest because the bulbs are exposed.
16 x E14 small screw in bulbs are required. Rewired and in full working order. In very good condition with some age related marks to the bulb holders and a scratch to the white enamel on the cone.
