Pair of Armchairs with Art Deco Style
£1,875
Description
With a striking Art Deco style, these early 20th century Czech chairs are in a desirable original condition.
Could be used as they are in a shabby chic interior or den, or else might be considered for reupholstering in a fabric to match your own style. They are currently in a sage green coloured patterned fabric with tan piping. Featuring sprung seats on chrome frames. They have buttoned backs and padded arms. They sit well to the floor and are a comfortable seat.
Dating to the 1930s, these are made from steel, wood and upholstery and originate from eastern Europe.
These are in great original condition and have some small light stains, some small tears, fraying to the ends of the padded arms and one larger tear at the back of one chair, where it might easily be hidden from view. Four of the six buttons on the backs are missing their original fabric covers, but they remain firmly in place. These are vintage pieces dating prior to the 1950s and do not have fire labels. The sprung seats are good and still comfortable to sit on. The wear is consistent with long term use in the home, but they have the charm of originality.
