Ercol Rocking Chair, Chairmakers Design
£350
Description
The quality of Ercol furniture shines through in this piece, which is the 1956 Chairmakers Rocker design by Lucian Ercolani. It is based on the classic Windsor chair with a traditional finely-turned spindle back and a lovely simple splat shape, curved to fit the body’s natural contours. The upward turned armrests have narrow ends which are remarkably tactile and have a lovely patina on this chair. With a wide, comfortable and relatively low seat, it is a pleasure to sit in and might make an ideal nursing chair.
Dating to circa 1960, this is made of elm and beech, and originates from England.
In good age related condition.
