Pair of Edwardian Studded Leather Armchairs
Delivering from: Newark, United Kingdom (UK)

Description
A fabulous pair of Edwardian period leather tub armchairs, these have a beautiful aged patina with a great depth of colour and a tactile surface to the arms. They are decorated throughout with brass studs, which form patterns along the apron, and there is an embossed leather border with a lozenge design around the back which has the appearance of faded gilt. The feather cushions have removable rust coloured velvet covers and these sit on top of horsehair stuffed sprung seats which are covered with hessian. Wonderful to have a matching pair, these have low seats and will make a great addition to a snug, library, or lounge as comfortable seats or as decorative pieces.
Dating to the early 20th century, these are made of leather and wood, and originate from England.
In good age related condition, the leather has a small patch at the back on one of the chairs and has some marks with sympathetic repairs in places, but there are no open tears and the hide remains in a stable state.
