Description
French bronze sculpted by Jean-Baptiste Germain. (1841-1910.)
A powerful image of a young man in motion with expertly sculpted features and detail. His muscular form and metalic bronze hue shining through the brownish patina.
Wearing nothing except a modest sweeping fabric and holding a cloth bag of seeds in his left arm and his right hand mid-scatter he was most likely inspired by the Christian parable of the sower. One of the tales said to be told by Jesus to his disciples.
The figure will most certainly make an impact as any center display piece.
Written on the plaque below the sculptors’ signature is “Souvenir du personnel de la S.C.O.A. Paris & Manchester”

Originates from France.
