Description
A Gothic style mahogany case clock with a rich patina, this wonderful piece is an example from the Ollivant family of Manchester who were making timepieces for nearly 100 years. It is for sale from the Andrew Hall collection of quality longcase clocks. This statement piece has cluster columns on both the trunk and the hood, with the original finials and bun feet. The clock has an 8-day movement with a bell strike on the hour and a convex white dial with both date and second hands. It has a great sense of presence and will make a very handsome addition to the home.
Dating to circa 1830, this clock has a mahogany case and originates from Manchester in the North of England.
