Description
A lovely piece of Continental European folk art, this oval bentwood box has been painted with a landscape scene showing a huntsman with a rifle aiming at a stag or deer from behind a tree. There is some yellow text written in German around the top which translates as “have confidence with the shot”. The sides of the box and the lid are painted with flowers. This is a great piece for any collection of 18th century antiques and will look fabulous in a period home.
Dating to the 18th century, this is made of bentwood and originates from continental Europe.
In good age related condition.
